Environment

Climate change is the single biggest environmental and humanitarian crisis of our time. The Earth’s atmosphere is overloaded with heat-trapping carbon dioxide, which threatens large-scale disruptions in climate with disastrous consequences. We must act now to spur the adoption of cleaner energy sources at home and abroad. The United States Global Change Research Program (which includes the Department of Defense, NASA, National Science Foundation and other government agencies) has said that “global warming is unequivocal and primarily human-induced” and that “climate changes are underway in the United States and are projected to grow.”

“Instead of subsidizing yesterday’s energy sources, we need to invest in tomorrow’s. We need to invest in clean, renewable energy. In the long term, that’s the answer. That’s the key to helping families at the pump and reducing our dependence on foreign oil.”— President Barack Obama’s Weekly Address – April 23, 2011

Syn Tawa will play its part in support of both global and domestic initiatives that address climate change by integrating advanced clean technologies with near zero emissions and developing projects that produce renewable fuels that burn up to 50% cleaner than petroleum fuels.
